Created attachment 8695408 [details] firebeatle.png User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/46.0.2490.86 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: i did not reproduce it, but here are my steps. at the end of november, i had everything up to date when this starts: upgrade windows 7 to windows 10. already have firefox and fraps before the upgrade. after upgrade, have firefox and fraps open. go to options>privacy>History>click on Clear Recent History, find that the black frame with yellow numerals is bound to the top right corner of the tiny clear history window. press hotkey to record and find that it changes the font red. Actual results: the Fraps fps overlay that has been missing elsewhere as i've been trying to use it this week, has mysteriously shown up inside a strange frame in firefox. Expected results: the fps overlay should be bound to anchors of fullscreen games or the desktop. I'm new to bugs and reporting. i see the intersection of programs where they shouldn't be as suspicious though. like firefox and fraps having a fistula through the middle of their programs, i consider to be a malicious threat. I'll repost this bug in a couple days without the security flag, unless otherwise advised
If fraps adds these counters to arbitrary video games and it now ends up showing them in the clear recent history window, then I don't think that's something we can do anything about. If it's a program which can generally do this to other programs and/or your screen, and one you installed yourself, then it's also not clear this is a security threat, so I'm removing the security flag.
Hi Evan, If you can please provide more accurate steps to reproduce this. Have you tried to reproduce this with a clean new Firefox profile (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems)? Is Fraps compatible with other browsers ? You could also try to see how other browsers behave, maybe this is related strictly to Fraps. Thanks, Paul.
Considering the fact that the reporter did not provided more information on my request, I will mark this issue as resolved - incomplete. If you can still reproduce this, feel free to reopen it and provide the requested information. Thanks, Paul
