Details

Issues like bug 1230361, while rare, would be easier to diagnose if the update log files included information about the Windows post-update process; whether it was launched successfully, the error message if not, and the exit code if so. We currently only write to stderr, which is unlikely to be easily accessible on Windows and even less likely to be stored anywhere.
I meant bug 1230631. Been that kind of day.
