Steps to reproduce:
- call a website, look at the favicon in the tab
- change the favicon with ftp
- reload the page => no change
- shift reload the page => no change
- inspecting the icon in the media info => its actual
- reload again => no change
- close all tabs of this page
- open new tab and return the the site => no change
Expected results:
I got no idea, how to force an update
Meanwhile I use chrome, this guy will update immediately, but its not where i wanted to end with ;-)

It seems like there would already be a bug report for the favicon not updating automatically, but I can't find it. Not being able to reload the favicon manually is bug 418144.

it's possible to clear the favicons from the Browser Console, otherwise they usually expire after 7 days.
