[L10n][Flamekk v2.5&master][Sync]Upper Sorbian: The timestamp of last sync will be displayed with truncation while the last sync time is more than 1 minute.

[2.Testing Steps]: 
Precondition: You have sign in a Firefox account on device and set system language as Upper Sorbian.
1. Launch Settings app. 
2. Tap Firefox Sync to enter guide page. 
3. Tap "Get Started" button to enter Firefox Sync main page. 
4. Sync will begin automatically, after syncing completes, wait for 1 minute.

[3.Expected Result]: 
4.The timestamp of last sync will be displayed without truncation

[4.Actual Result]: 
4.The timestamp of last sync will be displayed with truncation

Hi Alissa,

thank you for creating this bug. I am the translator for Upper Sorbian and Lower Sorbian.

The cause for this issue seems to be a fixed window width. The Sorbian strings is pretty long, yes. I could shorten it to "Poslednja synchronizacija:" but this isn't really much shorter.

The Lower Sorbian string is "Slědny raz synchronizěrowany:" I think this issue occurs there as well. I could shorten this string to "Slědna synchronizacija:".

I translate on Pootle.

I still get the same truncated string on latest FlameKK master build in Upper Sorbian language, could you confirm whether the patch have been uplifted to master build or not?

Hi Lancy,

strange, Alissa has already marked this as fixed.

I had a look on Pootle and saw that there is the old string for file settings.properties, just for this occurrence. A similar string is in email.properties, there is already the short string Poslednja synchronizacija. Maybe I changed this one only.

I changed the string Last synced {{when}} in settings.properties now:

hsb: Poslednja synchronizacija: {{when}}
dsb: Slědna synchronizacija: {{when}}

I did this on Pootle for master and 2.5.

The strings of sync timestamp has been changed, but the timestamp still be displayed with truncation on latest FlameKK master build in Upper Sorbian language. Is it ok or if you don't mind to shorten again?

Hi Shally Li,

hm, isn't it possible for a translator to change the menu width? I saw, for instance, that the string for Scottish Gaelic is even longer:

I wrote to Michael Bauer and asked him and I asked in m.d.l10n as well.

I've just received a reply from Michael Bauer and it seems that truncation is a general issue through all locales. He sent copies of this reply to some l10n drivers, i.a. to delphine.
