User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:42.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/42.0 Build ID: 20151110142142 Steps to reproduce: 1. Set "Show blank page" when firefox starts. 2. Open a new window in full screen (for instance make Firefox full screen (F11) and open a new window (ctrl+N)). Actual results: The new window does not work properly. The about:customizing page does not work and the menu bar (and tab bar) is shown even in full screen. Expected results: The window should work properly.
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0 Build ID: 20151213030241 I can't reproduce this bug on Latest Nightly 45.0a1(2015-12-13) on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, 32-bit! about:customizing page and menu bar works fine. I suggest you to reproduce this bug on Latest Nightly with a new profile[1] on safe mode[2]. Also include OS which you were working with! [1]http://mzl.la/1BAQGnB [2]http://mzl.la/1xKrE7R

I'm working with archlinux and openbox. I installed Firefox Nightly (45.0a1, 2015-12-14). In this version, when the main window is fullscreen and I open a new window with Ctrl+N, the new window is not fullscreen by default. So I have to automatically make firefox fullscreen with openbox's rc.xml to make the bug appear. I tested with a new profile in safe mode. The bug appears also when I open a new window in private mode with Ctrl+Shift+P (never when I open a link in private mode). When there is the bug, Ctrl+L doesn't work either annd the focus is not on the url bar by default. The focus should be on the url bar exactly for the pages producing the bug (newtab, blank and privatebrowsing). But now I don't understand because the bug is not present all the time (same with firefox 42 with new profile in safemode)… Most of the time, it works. But sometimes, the url bar don't have focus by default and the bug is here. It seems to happen systematically with firefox 42 with some settings (for instance new profile in safe mode, F11 and then Ctrl+Shift+P always produce the bug, even when I don't force Firefox fullscreen with openbox). But with Latest Nightly I installed, the bug don't appear most of the time.

Ok, I will try it next week on a fresh install of Ubuntu. Do you make the window *appear* in fullscreen ? Someone else said me he had reproduced the bug and I think it's with Firefox 42 on archlinux and openbox too. I will ask him.
Thank you for your time, and also you can attache a screen recording if you think is necessary, please use this link:http://screencast-o-matic.com/home

Did you use the link that I suggested? I can't open your attachment.
Ah, no, I used vokoscreen. Sorry. The link you suggested said "Sorry this device isn't supported for recording. Please try on a Windows or Mac PC." and asked to download something for Windows or Mac. I tried with wine but I didn't found it very handy (for several reasons). But ok, if you ask I'll publish the mp4 generated with it.

I opened firefox nightly in safe mode with a new profile. The window is made automatically fullscreen. Then I opened a new window in "private mode" with Ctrl+Shift+P, and the second time I did it the bug was here (focus not in the url bar, about:customizing not working).
