User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.11; rv:42.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/42.0 Build ID: 20151029151421 Steps to reproduce: Open History menu Middle mouse click an entry Actual results: Entry is loaded in current tab Expected results: Entry is loaded in a newly created tab
WFM with FF42 on Win 7, middle click opens the entry in a new tab. Could you test: 1) in safe mode: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode 2) with a clean profile: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
Flags: needinfo?(marten.svantesson)
I have now tested to run FF42 in a newly created clean profile. Same result. As you can see I'm running on Mac OS X (latest public version: 10.11.2). So likely platform specific then.
Flags: needinfo?(marten.svantesson)
Confirmed in FF 45.0a1 (2015-12-11) OS X 10.11.
