I am using Mozilla on Linux platform. This crashes when java plugin (Java(TM)
Plug-in 1.3.1_02-b02) is installed and I load a page containing java applets.

Be sure that you have symlinked the plugin and not copied into the plugin folder.

Is this still a problem ?

Worksforme Build ID: 2002042510 (0.9.9+) trunk Windows 98.

Reporter, could you please upgrade to 0.9.9 and Sun Java JRE 1.4, and try the 
problem again?

Java2 plugin WFM with:

Mozilla Build 2002042610
SuSE Linux 7.2/glibc 2.2.2
Sun Java2 SDK 1.4.0 (plugin installed by symlink)

Vendor-supplied Mozilla 0.9.9 (Build 2002031615-SuSE) works as well. Recent past
experience with Java2 SDK 1.3.1 (from Sun and Blackdown) is positive as well.
