Steps to reproduce:

I uninstall the 43.0.1 version and reinstall the version 38.1.0


Actual results:

it's good now with the 38.1.0


Expected results:

i hope have a version 43.0.1 compatible 32 bit or or do not do automatic update on a 32 bit system so incompatible

I can not type anything on Firefox because Firefox 43.0.1 closes immediately

OK. Can you create a new profile. Open the profile manager (Run > firefox.exe -p), create a new profile and type about:crashes.

but I need to reinstall the 43.0.1 before ?
for now , i have the 38.5.0 ESR under xp and it's ok
Crashes should be displayed in about:crashes from FF38.
my Crashes is about automatic update from the ff 43.0.1
i will try to reinstall this new version again and create a new profil

Does it work if you start FF43 in safe mode? (run > firefox.exe -safe-mode)
I have install Ff v 40.0 Fr , it's ok

The culprit is nvappfilter.dll, it's probably a network fiter from your Nvidia card. Open the Nvidia manager softare and disable it (or add firefox.exe in the whitelist).

Bon, je vais parler en français, ça sera plus simple pour la suite. :)

A priori, un patch introduit dans le composant "réseau" de FF43 a entrainé cette régression dont le résultat est un crash au démarrage de FF sur des machines (des XP a priori assez anciens) qui ont une carte Nvidia avec le composant Nvidia Application Filter installé.

Comme tu as cette machine à dispo, peux-tu essayer de trouver un intervalle de régression dans FF43.
C'est assez simple à faire, il y a juste à lancer l'outil Mozregression.

Rapidement, les étapes:

1) Mozregression est un package python 2.7, donc tu dois installer python 2.7 au préalable.
http://www.activestate.com/activepython/downloads (version Windows (x86))
Tu pourras aisément déinstaller python ensuite, c'est un simple dossier.

2) Ensuite, tu installes le package Mozregression avec la commande pip dans la console:
Exécuter > cmd.exe > pip install -U mozregression

3) Le test à faire, lancer Mozregerssion pour tester les builds de FF43.
Comme FF42 fonctionne, tu tapes dans la console:
mozregression --bits=32 --good=42

Mozreg va télécharger tout seul les nightlies, en principe quand le bug est présent, la nightly téléchargée va cracher au démarrage (ou vérifie l'onglet qui crashe car le multiprocess est activé sur les nightlies donc parfois, c'est l'onglet qui crashe et pas tout le navigateur comme sur Chrome/IE).

Pour chaque nightly, tu mets good ou bad, à la fin tu copies ici le changelog fourni dans la console, du genre

Hi, thanks for the reply. Is 17/ the last pushlog you got in the console output?
I tried twice
first time with a 18, but the console is closed without that I have copied the URL
the second time 17 and I copied to each upload
just for information , I have add before  in whitelist to Nvidia manager software "firefox .exe" but without  result , but maybe I have not used the right method ?
I believe you need to uninstall Nvidia Network Manager, it's a kind of firewall with many network and application crash issues in the past.
i have exactly " Nvidia nView Desktop manager" under Windows xp
I have nvidia X servers Settings  for linux 64 and firefox 43,0 without problem under xubuntu 
(I’m in dual boot  win 32 / xubuntu 14 04 amd 64) :)
