>>> My Info: Win7_64, Nightly 46, 32bit, ID 20151219030215
STR:
1.A) Open about:home in a new tab
1.B) Open private window
2. Type "example.org/" in urlbar without quotes, press Enter
Result (watch "screencast 1"):
Text in location bar quickly twitches to the right and back because
"[branding_icon] Firefox" is displayed in identity block for about 0.1 second
Expectations:
Text should stay still during this operation
Notes (I believe this to be true):
This happens because in both cases when I'm typing text in urlbar, #urlbar has
[pageproxystate="invalid"], and #identity-box has [class="chromeUI"].
So after I press Enter #urlbar gains [pageproxystate="valid"], then after a while (~0.1s)
browser deletes removes text label and sets [class="unknownIdentity"] to #identity-box
I personally think that [pageproxystate] should change from "invalid" to "valid" in the last turn
Probably this is e10s-related bug

Component: General → Location Bar
Yes. It seems that the time of twitching depends on how many times I opened a site in Step 2. When I try STR with the same url 3 times or more, I never see twitching. But I mostly see it the 1st time. I'll update this bug if I'll find a way to make result more noticeable/reproducible.

I still see this happening, but it's not trivial to observe in most cases.
So I'll reopen this bug when I'll find a reliable way to observe/log it.
