Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0b; Windows NT 5.0) BuildID: Mozilla098 When I open preferences dialog and try to change more than just one item, I can't close the dialog clicking on OK button, Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open preferences dialog 2.Switch between more items, change them. 3.Press OK Actual Results: Mozilla hangs, does not close the dialog, I can't close it. Expected Results: Close the dialog and let me continue working with it. This happened sometimes in previous builds (0.9.7, 0.9.6) but happens ALWAYS in the current 0.9.8. It is VERY ANNOYING and mozilla looks creepy when I have to change just one preference item at a time.
Reporter: Have you installed Mozilla 0.9.8 over an older build ? If no: Can you try a new profile ?(run "mozilla -profilemanager" and create a new , additional test profile)
I tried what you proposed. New profile created, but mozilla "works" the same. I've got also problems (in case this is connected - I think it is) with the dialog that shows up after mozilla starts asking me if I want to setup Mozilla as a default mail client. I may select yes, or no, mozilla hangs.
I get the same behavior in 0.9.9 under win 98. Mozilla 0.9.9 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020311
If you *don't* visit the Appearcance | Language/Content pref panel does the problem go away? If so, please mark this as a duplicate of bug 127783. Thanks.
not reproducible using: moz 1.0 RC1, windows2000, SP2 moz 1.0 RC1, Linux, SuSE 8.0
i can't reproduce this with 2002052908 on win2k. reporter (Martin), or anyone else: can you reproduce this bug with a recent build (e.g. 1.0RC3) of mozilla? if so, please comment again. if not, please resolve this bug as "WORKSFORME", or just comment so that someone else can do so. thanks.
I didn't encounter this behaviour for quite a time in recent builds, so marking as WORKSFORME. Thanks for the fix ;O)
