From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.8) Gecko/20020204 BuildID: 2002020406 If Navigator and Composer are running simultaneously, and Composer is NOT minimized (either windowed or full-screen), then Navigator behaves as it should. But if Composer IS minimized, then trying to minimize Navigator causes Navigator to return in a "windowed" state. Unable to minimize after that point and must close Navigator to get it off the screen. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open both Navigator and Composer simultaneously (both full screen) 2. Minimize Navigator. It disappears to the task bar. 3. Maximize Navigator full screen. 4. Minimize Composer. It disappears to the task bar. 5. Minimize Navigator. It drops to the task bar for a half-second and returns in a windowed state. 6. Try to minimize Navigator again. Same thing happens. 7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 ad infitum. You get a nice (but annoying) bouncing affect going. 8. Maximize Composer. 9. Try to minimize Navigator. It behaves correctly again. In other words, it is impossible to have both Composer and Navigator minimized at the same time. This problem just began with 0.9.8. Version 0.9.7 didn't behave like this.

I believe this is what your are seeing. From the 0.9.8 Release notes: * Mozilla's Classic theme has problems minimizing windows on some Microsoft Windows systems. The workaround is to 'minimize all windows' in a context click on the Windows taskbar. After this the minimize behavior should be normal. Another workaround is to use the Modern theme. (Bug 120155) Please reopen if I am incorrect. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 120155 ***
