Target to complete is January 30, 2016. This bug is a request to remove the link to the FxOS Mobile Partner site from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/os/2.5/ and to change (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/partners/) and the FxOS Mobile Partner site (https://mobilepartners.mozilla.org/) to be internal to Mozilla only.

Karen: Anything related to mozilla.org please file under www.mozilla.org > pages & content. Before you do please reach out to Jen Bertsch, she has already had some conversations about the content you mention above and want to be sure there are no duplicate efforts. For mobilepartners, this is the right bug. Can you explain a bit more about what you want when you refer to internal mozilla only? - Are you wanting to have access to the content but only for employees? - If yes, which employees/how many/how often will they access - Will content on the site ever need to be updated or can it be "frozen"

Hi Ben, I will talk with Jen and file separate bug re:mozilla.org if needed after she and I meet. - Yes access only for fxos/Connected Devices employees. I don't need it to be that specific though - could be for all MoCo employees - I don't think it will be accessed very frequently. - It can be frozen but I'd like to keep access to the admin tool - view only would be ok. Is that possible?

My team does not maintain any internal only sites like this, preserving the admin requires us to devote resources (even if its a small amount) for sec fixes etc. I think our best bet is to export the data you need from the admin and spider the site into static html. Let me think a bit more but that is the direction I am leaning. I'll have something concrete next week.

When all dependencies are complete, including some changes on moz.org that will be added as blockers the site should redirect to the mozilla.org homepage.

Hi Ben, (In reply to Ben (:bensternthal) from comment #5) > When all dependencies are complete, including some changes on moz.org that > will be added as blockers the site should redirect to the mozilla.org > homepage. I think we need to wait until all changes (already done) in bug 1239863 will go live in production before decommission the mobile partners site. Am I right? Is there anything else that I'd be missing? https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1239863 Thanks a lot for your help! David

You are correct. As noted in the bug the work is now complete. I will file the redirect bug with webops (as outlined in comment #5). We can then decom the site.

Giorgos - the redirect is now in place. We are clear to decommission the site. Since no one can reach the site, the actual decommission is not a high priority but we should still get this in our queue.
