Details

Description: Frequent "Oops… the system encountered a problem (#007) - Retrying in 1s… " using gmail; stalls "Loading <accountname>" when switching between gmail accounts; search stalls using the URL field.

Problem always occurs with these versions:
Fedora 23
firefox-43.0-1.fc23.x86_64
firefox-43.0.3-1.fc23.x86_64

Regression testing:
- Does happen in firefox safe mode.
- Does happen with a wired (ethernet) connection
- Does happen with a new (GNOME) login account environment
- Does happen with multiple gmail accounts

- Does not happen inside a VM running Fedora 23 and firefox 41.
- Does not happen on baremetal when downgrading to firefox-42.0-5.fc23.x86_64; problem resumes when upgrading back to firefox-43.0.3-1.fc23.x86_64
- Does not happen on the same hardware and network running OS X 10.9.5 and Firefox 43.

journalctl -f does not report any messages at the time of these stalls or error messages in firefox
This is still a problem with 43.0.4, either using the Fedora package, or the binary downloaded directly from mozilla.org. Reverting to any subversion of 41 and 42 resolves the problem.
I think I was experiencing similar problems with Firefox 43.0.4 on
Linux. Various Google pages would sometimes load incompletely, or AJAX
requests would fail. The problem seemed to go away when I toggled
network.http.spdy.enabled.http2 to false in about:config. Please try
that and see if it helps you.
So far this problem isn't happening in Fedora 23 repo build of Firefox 44; so it just seems to affect the 43 branch and only on Linux desktop (not on Android, or OS X).

Based on this, and the fact that this report is now unfortunately 2 years old, I'm going to close this out as "works for me". Of course, if things are still broken on more recent versions, please reopen.
