a. m. and p. m. when showing 12h format time always breaks design or looks ugly.

Looks ugly, it could be uppercase and small font size.

Bug on lock screen will be fixed in bug 1228865.

In the statusbar, it’s the format localizers chose for your locale. If you think this decision should be revisited, please file a bug under Mozilla Localizations > <your locale>

I suggest using different font size for the am and pm. I think it happens because it is returned all in one string, solution could be to separate it so you could also decide in settings whether to show it or not. Is my opnion

Splitting the string is indeed the plan, and we need bug 1216150 to do that. (More info here: https://github.com/tc39/ecma402/files/41759/formatToParts.pdf )

Thanks for the reply, I hope this gets done soon, it is breaking the visual experience in B2G.
