Hey there, Sorry, I missed this on the calendar. Here's a proposed outline for the February newsletter. Feature 1: - Encryption Campaign (EN only) - Smart On Surveillance (FR, ES, DE) Feature 2: - Browser usage tip: Noisy tab mute. Feature 3: - Option 1: Android Tip: Cast to your TV. - Option 2: Yahoo Search -- this feature has been pushed out from November, so let's make a call on whether or not we include it in this issue. Full outline here: https://docs.google.com/a/mozilla.com/document/d/1L37Qc5EI47m95VZDyE77mSMnssf1U-JXvSQW5SLeej8/edit?usp=sharing M.J.

Hey all, MJ as you and I discussed on IRC, I'd like to add a survey to test our message penetration for Tracking Protection to this newsletter. Ben suggested one of the bottom content boxes, like you did in September for bright spots (http://cl.ly/233O2t1A3C0U) For email: Link: http://mzl.la/http://mzl.la/205f2TfEM (http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/2547300/Private-Browsing-with-Tracking-Protection) Copy options to drive people to the survey (or whatever you'd like to use instead): Tell us what you think about features in Firefox. Take a quick survey.
Is copy ready for the newsletter yet?
Looks great. Thanks!
Just a quick update: design drafts will be posted by EOB PST today.
Nice work! Comments in.
Hi All: Please find a design draft of the February 2016 Newsletter attached. PSD also included. Will stay posted here for edits and suggestions for further refinement. Thanks.
Hi Michael, Team Email met today to go over the layout. Survey says: AWESOME WORK! Everyone loves it. We just have a few requests for modifications to feature three, search suggestions. 1. Let's make Yahoo! the default search engine. 2. Overall, can you make the search dropdown portion more graphic/abstraction? It's OK to mock this up instead of doing a screen capture. 3. Let's say just “Firefox” in the search bar, with “Firefox ~~~~~~” “Firefox ~~~ ~~~” blurbs below, which would make it completely abstract. The only word to display in the visual should be “Firefox” to make it l10n friendly. Keep the history clocks. 4. Remove the other search setting options. Let me know if this makes sense. I'm happy to have a ~10 chat if anything needs clarification. Thanks!

Version 2 of the February Newsletter with updated Search Suggestions graphic.
Version 2 of the February Newsletter with updated Search Suggestions graphic. (Layered PSD)
Zip file containing editable Illustrator files for three main features.
Thanks for the helpful feedback, M.J. I've attached a JPEG and PSD with an updated version of the search suggestion feature graphic. Happy to continue to finesse this if need be. And, feel free to flag me if there are any other further edits.
Copy is ready for L10N. Thanks all!

Ben, Are you all set with design for this email?
Taking another look at the revised Search Suggestion visual, let's remove the "Yahoo Search" copy, but keep the icon, to make it more universal.
One last thought! Michael - this is overall lovely! For the 3rd image, my idea was that the "~~" would be an abstract squiggle not an actual tilde "~". It looks okay - but I fear (and it's probably far-fetched) that people might think they'll see "~" for search suggestions. Do you have a moment to play with that graphic and making the "~~~" more abstract squiggles perchance?

Hi Jess – thanks for continuing to workshop this. Posting some alternatives now. Will also be removing "Yahoo Search" as per M.J.'s comments. Look for three PNGs of just the search image options shortly...
Search Graphic – "Jibberish" version (the visual equivalent the Peanuts' classroom teacher)
Search Graphic – Squiggles
Search Graphic – Text Blocks
Hey Michael, Option 3 with the Text Blocks is just right, though we love the Peanuts reference. :)
