Details
the dialog box where you enter the automatic proxy configuration URL will not
allow you to enter text. This worked in 0.9.6 and 0.9.7, and is broken in 0.9.8.
At the University of Washington, this setting allows biomedical researchers who
don't use the UW as their ISP to access online journals from home as if they
came from a UW IP address....umm, so it's pretty important to me.

WFM in Mac OS X 10.1 in Mozilla 0.9.8 and 0.9.9, b/c I know I smoketested the
builds.
Did a new profile test show the same problem?
If so, I would be interested in getting your networking.* lines from the
prefs.js that has the problem.
Anyhow, please try RC1, because we are trying to update everything to the latest.

Greg: I've resolved/WFM, you can verify/WFM based on your results.
Matthew: you can reopen this if you provide the requested info. you may also be
using a build that has had a prefs-locking product used on it (which I
understand minimally).
