Steps to reproduce:
Sending email where address of the recipient looks like: John smith, director <john@example.com>

The error message saying: "There are non-ASCII characters in the local part of the recipient address . This is not yet supported. Please change this address and try again."
Expected results:
Message should be sent.
This behaviour is new for me. I have checked sent mails and it appeared for the first time around end of the 2015. I am emailing to addresees like this regularly. Last message that went through fine can be located on Dec. 20th 2015.

edit:
Actual results:
The error message saying: "There are non-ASCII characters in the local part of the recipient address . This is not yet supported. Please change this address and try again." The message is saved to Sent later folder. I could identify only coma "," doing that. maybe there are others characters too.

I think this is the ISP complaining, not Thunderbird.
Do you still see the problem?
