Description

When opening a new Google doc in Firefox, webfonts are loaded repeatedly. With userfonts logging enabled the 'Lato' font is loaded 209(!!) times while opening a *single* new Google doc. This is without editing or otherwise interacting with the document.

Steps:

1. navigate to Google Drive https://www.google.com/drive/
2. log in
3. Click on New > Google Docs

Result: new Google docs window opens and two faces for 'Lato' are opened 209 times.

Expected result: each of these faces are loaded once.

There is of course the possibility that this is a Google Docs coding error but for now I'm going to investigate this as a Firefox bug.

Guessing this is related to changes made for the Font Loading API.

userfont log opening new Google docs document

Lots and lots of "userfont rules update" modifications...
Does this still reproduce?
