Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open http://www.mozilla.org/quality/help/bugzilla-helper.html 2. Enter some non-us-ascii characters in the fields, e.g. é or ü. 3. Click on "Open Bugzilla Entry Form" button 4. Compare the text fields in the Bugzilla Entry Form with the text fields in the Bugzilla Helper. Actual results: In Netscape 4: the non-us-ascii characters are replaced with question marks, and the two following characters are removed. In IE6: the non-us-ascii characters are replaced with two-character sequences like é and ü. In Mozilla: see "Expected results" :-) Expected results: All characters should be displayed as typed in Netscape 4 and IE6.

I have no clue why this should be - is it a problem with those browsers, or with the Helper? Gerv
Bugzilla Helper is no more! The new and improved simple bug entry form is: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?format=guided Any charset issues are now Bugzilla's problem. Gerv
