Steps to reproduce:
When I choose the delete option from the Edit Event dialog and confirm that I "really want to delete" the event, it disappears after from the calendar after a short delay, but the Edit Event dialog itself remains open. This conflicts with the behaviour when creating an event (dialog disappears after clicking "Save and Close"), editing an event (dialog disappears after clicking "Save and Close"), or even "deleting" a new event that hasn't yet been saved using the same delete option (dialog disappears after clicking "Delete" and then confirming that you "really want to delete").
This problem doesn't occur for local calendars, but all of my calendars are synced from a remote server using CalDAV.

Macho, has your problem been resolved in a more recent Thundebrird version (like 68.12.0 or 78.2.2)?
