Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android 4.4.4; Mobile; rv:44.0) Gecko/44.0 Firefox/44.0
Build ID: 20160111185211

Steps to reproduce:

Flick the screen to scroll (fast touch movement in one direction then release)
Stop scrolling by touch

Actual results:

A click was generated, e.g. link opened

Expected results:

Click should be surpressed, when touch event was for stopping scrolling
This will be fixed with the switch to APZ, our new scrolling implementation. That is currently enabled on the nightly channel (you can download a build from nightly.mozilla.org) and will probably be released in Firefox for Android 47 or 48. Unfortunately we don't plan on fixing it in the old scrolling implementation.
Depends on: fennec-aboard-apz
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
The APZ implementation shipped in 48, and should resolve this.
