User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:43.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/43.0 Build ID: 20160106231004 Steps to reproduce: Muted a tab while sound was playing Actual results: Tab is muted. Can't unmute it while sound isn't playing. Expected results: I should be able to unmute the tab, even when sound isn't playing. The application in question is Skype for Web. It only plays sound when I get a message. That means I can only unmute it when receiving a message. The tab is a pinned tab, but I'm not sure if that has to do with the problem.

Open the Add-ons Manager, Appearance category. Are you using the Default theme? With the default theme, the Unmute icon is visible whether or not the tab is playing audio. You can also right-click the tab and choose “Unmute tab” or press Ctrl+M.

I'm using the default theme. Ctrl+M and right-click -> "Unmute tab" don't work.

I think this issue has been solved in the latest nightly build, the "mute-tab" can work successfully on my nightly.
