Matthew, Anthony says you have started looking at Opus-in-MP4. This is the placeholder bug I had filed for this work.

P2 because Opus-in-MP4 is important, but not a release blocker.

This was done in c01fbb7d7532d7f30e7a2c2933fcd8c051080c6b and later changesets. Bug 1267887 integrated that support into Gecko.

Hmm, does this actually work? We're looking at adding support for Opus in MP4 to MSE for Chrome, but test media generated by ToT ffmpeg doesn't play in Firefox 61. Do you have other recommendations for generating media? http://storage.googleapis.com/dalecurtis/bbb-opus.mp4 http://storage.googleapis.com/dalecurtis/mse.html?type=mp4_opus&src=bbb-opus.mp4

Unfortunately, this was regressed in the mp4 demuxer and was fixed in bug 1482841. So you need to test with Firefox Nightly 63
