>>> My Info: Win7_64, Nightly 46, 32bit, ID 20160118030338 STR: 1. Disable hardware acceleration (HWA), enable multiprocess mode, restart the browser 2. Open the following "data:" url or URL above. Attach it as .html if you want > data:text/html,<body><script>var str=""; for(i=0;i<99;i++)document.write('<script class="firstClassName secondClassName thirdClassName">do_nothing;<\/script>')</script> 3. Open Devtools -> Inspector (make sure that vertical scrollbar is displayed in the markup) 4. Hover mouse over the scrollbar (don't move mouse after this step!) 5. Scroll down several lines 6. Hover mouse over the new lines AR: New lines that appeared after Step 5 have some green artifacts. After Step 6 artifacts disappear ER: No green artifacts. Nodes in markup view should render in a normal way after Step 5 This was caused by bug 1220629. Regression range > https://hg.mozilla.org/integration/mozilla-inbound/pushloghtml?fromchange=36c1e4eb0c9141aae4071a917ce4e3a59f5a79c6&tochange=d74084d072f0b5dfb00e3fbc103bef0a3fecbf85 This is most likely not connected to the Inspector itself; I think it's an issue with rendering elements on page which are invisible in the viewport. In this case, a "normal" testcase should be possible.
I can reproduce this.

Jeff, can we get HWA disabled by not flipping prefs? i.e. would users who don't go mucking with things see that?
(In reply to Brad Lassey [:blassey] (use needinfo?) from comment #4) > Jeff, can we get HWA disabled by not flipping prefs? i.e. would users who > don't go mucking with things see that? Absolutely. Through blacklisting.
