We have a bug about this. This is due to the media cache being cleared when a private window is closed.

This should be fixed in 44.

Flash shouldn't be used in 43 however unless you played with settings

I tested in the latest Beta and it's still reproducible. Not Nightly.
Well, I tested Nightly again and it's reproducible too, maybe less.
sorry, my bad, I was thinking about gstreamer.

YouTube doesn't use flash anymore, so I don't understand how the steps described in the first message could help.

In 44 and later, when playing mp3 I can't reproduce the audio being interrupted anymore.

What packages have you installed?
do you have gstreamer installed
do you have ffmpeg installed? if so which version?

4. Skip ad if any. Wait for the video for a few seconds. And close the private browsing window

Actual results:

The audio stops playing in the normal browsing window.
And after several seconds, the audio will resume automatically.
