Due to Bug#71840, individual bug comments have anchors and are referencable. It would be nice to have a entry in the activity table to know (relative to other field changes) when a comment was added. The activity table to reference the note by number.
There are dates on the activity table and on comments. Can't you work things out by using that?
I'd much prefer a combined view (i'm almost positive there's a bug for that) which would let you see comments and all activities. We could then perhaps add "action 1" to be a link to the activity table (or combined view) - in this case, action 1 should link to me marking this bug as an enhancement.
Severity: normal → enhancement
Here is the situation. At our installation, we have a user that swears he added a comment to the bug earlier in the week. The purpose for the bug activity is to log changes. It would have been easy to say to him, "look, no entry in the bug activity so it must have been a user error." Now we are not sure what modification are being made. It would be helpful for diagnosis of this type of problem.
Bug#11368 is the one about moving all the activity together.
Bug#11368 changes where it is located not the content, correct? I think I may have targeted this at the wrong component. Should it be 'Creating/Changing Bugs'?
I read bug#11368 as wanting to merge all the comments and activity details together -- which is sort of what this bug is about, only with the actual comment, and not just a link to it. Eventually, there will be user prefs to allow a user to display a bug and it's activity more to their individual liking.
The User Interface component now belongs to Gerv. Reassigning all UNCONFIRMED and NEW (but not ASSIGNED) bugs currently owned by Myk (the previous component owner) to Gerv.

Reassigning back to Myk. That stuff about Gerv taking over the User Interface component turned out to be short-lived. Please pardon our confusion, and I'm very sorry about the spam.
