In bug 1229841 we tuned some prefs to make fling acceleration faster, but I think we also need to speed up individual fast-fling actions, specially because we also have high friction. Having fling curving speed up these flings will allow the user to travel a little bit further, and the high friction will still bring it to a solid stop. I played around a little bit with the fling curve prefs and came up with the values below. Anthony, do you mind trying out these values in Fennec nightly (you can enter them on about:config, and restart the browser to take effect) and see how it feels? If it doesn't feel any worse I'd like to land it. apz.fling_curve_function_x1: 0.59 apz.fling_curve_function_y1: 0.46 apz.fling_curve_function_x2: 0.05 apz.fling_curve_function_y2: 1.00

Just tried this out on a 5X and it looks fine to me! Thanks Kats!
