Details
For the background discussion, see bug 530594 aka "eternalsession". Currently it's possible to: a) Set custom history settings -> Accept cookies from sites -> Keep until -> I close Firefox. b) Set "Show my windows and tabs from last time" in General -> When Nightly starts. Option (a) will no longer function as described because (b) will restore cookies from open tabs after you have closed Firefox. The options are really mutually incompatible or at least can never completely work as the user intends. So we should give a warning when this combination is selected.
As I stated in Bug 689266, it is also unclear that changes to this setting only apply to new cookies (Bug 903752) and the setting "Clear history when Firefox closes->Cookies" also suffers the same problem of implicitly keeping session cookies.
This is not necessary now that Bug 529899 has been fixed.

WONTFIX because bug 529899 decided that losing logins is acceptable if the user has a strong preference not to retain cookies.
