Details

The Synced Tabs sidebar uses "+" and "-" icons for twisties, but it should use arrow-style twisties like the "bookmarks" and "history" sidebars do.

I verified this on latest Nightly on Ubuntu 15.04, Windows 7, Windows 10, Mac 10.10. The twistiest are arrow-style.
