(In reply to Loic from comment #1) > CR FF47: > https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/79d2fd0b-35d7-43d0-9944-8ff5f2160205 Random note - layers.acceleration.disabled is set to true in this crash. Aral, could you attach a pointer to a crash you had? It should be in about:crashes.
I doubt the crash signatures are really useful, FF crashes with various signatures with the testcase. It even kills the other Firefox instances of FF due to the crash of the graphics driver.
Valid point. Bug 1245765 is attempting to clean up many of the "recover from reset" issues. The nice thing about this bug is that it actually crashes the driver, so we can hopefully remove the reason for the driver reset, rather than just deal with it.
Although, this seems to be either OOM or overflow situation.

I created a crash report with this id: b7a603ad-42d8-4955-b1aa-e4fae2160210
All of these look like the context is gone by the time we make the final calls?

This seems to crash both the AMD and Intel drivers on my machine.

This crash is still being reported a few times a week but I see zero reports on current Firefox versions. The most recent release version to report this crash is Firefox 35.0.1. The most recent Nightly version to report this crash is Firefox 46.0a1. Does this crash still reproduce for anyone with current builds?

I tested with FF48, it's still crashing badly the graphics driver.

(In reply to Aral from comment #12) > No Crash with the current nightly 51.0a1 (2016-08-11) Not on my machine, driver crashed.
I expect that bug 1227548 have stopped the Firefox crash as of 47. That should be good enough to close this bug.
