bugzilla.jpg

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/48.0.2564.103 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

- Create a new mail account
- Enter my Name and Lastname, my e-mail address, and my password.
- Click on "Next"/"Suivant", Thunderbird is searching the good configuration for my "Gandi Address"
- I set POP3
- Click on "Finish"/"Terminer"

Actual results:

When I click on "Finish"/"Terminer button, it say :
- "Password valid!" / "Mot de passe valid!"
And nothing happen, the button stays in "unclickable" mode.

When i click on "Cancel"/"Annuler", and i want to retry to configure the address, at the final step Thunderbird says : "This server already exists"

PS : What did I try :
- Uninstall / Install Thunderbird
- Configure another mail address (a different one, with different server, like Gmail, Hotmail etc..)
- Remove all Thunderbird files...

Expected results:

When i click on the "Finish"/"Terminer" button, nothing happen.
Normally the windows should close and show all my mails, but no, the windows doesn't want to close.

Please note: Bugzilla is NOT a support forum. It is a tracking system for bugs in Mozilla products.

In general, people can create new accounts with Thunderbird. We don't know what is special about your case.

Did you remove the entire profile? What does "remove all Thunderbird files" mean?

You could try starting Thunderbird with the -p (-profilemanager) option and create a new profile.

Putting in component sometimes helps by getting more eyes, even if report is unconfirmed or possible support issue.
