Steps to reproduce:

Tried to reply to an email with either Reply or Reply All using any method (tab, Ctrl+R, etc)


Actual results:

An unpopulated "Write: (no subject)" window opens rather than a reply window opens. I have not found a way around this so am reverting to an earlier bets.


Expected results:

A Reply windo should be opened with the To, Subject, etc populated.

Just discovered that when I start a new message the From field is not populated, there are no pull down entries, and I cannot enter anything in the From box.

Also, when an entry is made in the To box and enter is pressed, the populated information goes away rather than creating another To box.

Net result is I cannot send emails.

I can reply using the latest TB 45 beta 1. Also works in TB 46 (Earlybird). Please reinstall TB and try with a new profile.

Reverted to 44.0b1 and mail functions worked correctly, then upgraded again with the same problem. Reverted to 44.0b1 again and everything fine. Upgraded and same problem. Created a new profile and copies required files from old profile and everything seems fine.

There might be some incompatibility that would affect a typical user installing a new release.

I replied too soon and was not in research mode.

The problem originates with the "Change quote and reply format" extension. It was disabled when I created the new profile but after enabling the problem is back. This extension is critical to me as it has been configured to format the replies with heading information (From, Sent, To, Cc, and Subject), similar to what is produced from MS Mail and Outlook.

The Error Console has three errors as shown in the attached screen print.

I would be happy to try an alternative to this extension.

I don't see that addon anywhere in addons.mozilla.org. Did you load it from a third-party site? You'll need to inform that author of the pending incompatibility with TB 45.

I can confirm that that with this add-on the reply function in TB 45 and TB 46 is broken. Please contact the add-on author.

I have reported the bug. QuoteAndComposeManager by the same author also has a problem with TB 45 (now cannot paste into the body of a message).
