Details

1) Change some characters to bold by highlighting them and clicking on the "B"
icon in the Toolbar above the Compose Frame. The text will become bold.
2)Click the "B" icon again after making sure the same text you had set to bold
before is highlighted again. The text stays bold.

The same behavior applies for italics and underlining.

Summary: Can't undo Bold, Underline and Italics in compose frame → Can't remove inline style Bold, Underline and Italics in compose frame
changed the subject since "undo" has a special meaning for the editor. What
you're trying to do is remove inline style from a selection that has the style
already applied. It seems the buttons don't know the style is there, and are
trying to reapply the existing style.
Sounds like a job for Simon.
Status: NEW → ASSIGNED
The buttons in the compose window do know if the selection has style, and
clicking them will remove the style. This could be hooked up now for you,
or you could wait until overlays make the whole thing easier.
