From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.7) Gecko/20011221 BuildID: 2001122106 Browser interface elements are reproduced and cascadable within the browser window. This affects any page that's self-referencing and large enough to give you a chance to perform the second click. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Load mozilla browser (build 2001122106) 2. Load large page with an internal self-reference (a link on the page that effectively reloads the page) - www.mozilla.org works. 3. While page is loading, right-click on another link somewhere on the page. Timing counts: just as page is reloading, the menu will include "Show only this frame." Click that. 4. Right-clicking on the "apparent" border of an internal "copy" of the browser, and selecting "Show only this frame" reproduces the effect, tiling a new set of interface controls within the apparent controls from the previous iteration. This is possible until you run out of clickable spaces. Actual Results: Browser menu, controls, menu bars, status and other interface elements load inside the browser window. Expected Results: Display either the original page (blocking the links and the popup menu), or possibly display the second link (if the menu is displayed, and the user can select an item on that menu, it should work) This is relatively easy to reproduce on a slow (dial-up) connection, I can't imagine it's doable on anything with decent speed.
Screen-capture demonstration of bug 124913; red elements are edits, not mozilla behavior.
Closing and reloading the browser after demonstrating this interface behavior results in: "The exception Priveleged instruction (0xc0000096) occured in the application at location 0x002f5ca5" On the first reload attempt. This clears on the second.
Duplicate of '"Show only this frame" in single frame shows navigator.xul' Excellent bug report, by the way. Keep 'em coming! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 118482 ***
