Can you attach the complete message, please.
Your content type says *video*:
Content-Type: video/x-msvideo;
So the e-mail is basically invalid, since your security system is attaching a jpg as a video.
Summary: Images in messages do not appear → Images in messages do not appear if Content-Type: video/x-msvideo

Thanks for the attached e-mail. Usually you just drag it to the desktop and this will result in an .eml file.
I imported the e-mail into TB 46 (Earlybird). Double clicking on the attachment opens it in "Windows Photo Viewer". I also tried TB 38, the current release. There I got offered to open the attachment in VLC, since, as I said, the attachment is claiming to be a video. However, I could chose another application to open it, for example, "Windows Photo Viewer".
This bug is invalid:
Firstly, as I said, the e-mail is invalid since the attachments are not videos but pictures.
Secondly, you *can* configure what Thunderbird should do with the pictures.

Well, I can see it on Windows. That's what your on, right?
You attached the "Open Attachment" dialogue, so how did you get there if you don't see the icons?
You can also try to edit
Content-Type: video/x-msvideo;
to
Content-Type: image/jpg;
in your exported e-mail and then open the message again or drag it into a folder.
Please note: Bugzilla is NOT a support forum. It is a tracking system for bugs in Mozilla products. There is not bug here.
