125239 - multiple "failed to connect" errors when pressing "Get Msgs"

If you're mailserver cannot be contacted and you select it you get a "Failed to 
connect" error, which is right. But when you then press "Get Msgs" you get 
multiple "Failed to connect" errors. Mozilla should detect that the server 
cannot be contacted and dont any futher requests.

BTW: I'm using the:
user_pref("mail.check_all_imap_folders_for_new", true);
pref.

On 1.6 - When clicking on 'Get All New Messages' it gets the first one from
xxx.com, but in my case not the next four names that also use xxx.com.  Clicking
on each account individually and then clicking 'Get Msgs' works.

situation:  constant error messages "unable to log in to mail server"
            error pop-up was continuously cycling
	    constant network traffic appeared to be attempts to contact mail
	    server (log by tcpdump), which resumed after web connection was
	    reopened (i.e. probably never stopped)..
	    After editing prefs.js with the correct login name, the problem
	    appears to be fixed.

I have a similar problem with 1.5. In my case it's "Could not connect to mail server (mail server name); the connection was refused." I get it only once when I "Get all new messages" when I have a folder selected that contains no messages, but twice when I have a folder selected that contains messages.
