Steps to reproduce:
Searched a single character with the site search function started with Ctrl+F
Actual results:
The search results highlighting made it extremely annoying to get an overview of multiple occurances on the same page. it was necessary to do forward and backward jumping to find results with the buttons for the next and previous results which made reading unnecessary hard
Expected results:
Smart highlighting avoiding the above issues (e.g. Safari darkens the background).

I agree, this is getting quite annoying sometimes.
