I have used View Source often, but in the last several builds "view source" on
some URLs has crashed Moz 0.9.8 leading to a crash log. The new window opens,
then the colored source is flashed and immediately Moz crashes.
Here's the latest crash log:
Date/Time: 2002-02-13 21:36:20 -0600
OS Version: 10.1.2 (Build 5P48)
Command: Mozilla
PID: 19582
Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x00000000

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Turn on syntax coloring
2.Go to http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86355
3.View Source (Cmd-U). Crash.
Actual Results: I'll post this bug, then try it again.
No Talkback version since I'm using OS X at home. Have also seen using Os 9.2.2
with same Moz version.

I just tried it again. (BTW the URL is for a Hebrew View Source bug, it's
unrelated to the crash but was my most recent crash using View Source)
1. Started Mozilla 0.9.8 from the URL above.
2. Went to Preferences -> Appearance -> Colors and turned off "Show Syntax
highlighting".
3. View Source; Appeared OK, no syntax coloring. Close source window.
4. Went back and turned ON "Show Syntax Highlighting"
5. Showing same page as before, now "View Source" crashed Moz.
WorksForMe using RC1.
Darryl, can you still reproduce this problem using a current build?

Crash Log, Mac OS X, Moz (2002041712), with syntax highlighting to view:

It's baaack. I have had left on Syntax highlighting for the last build or two
(now using 2002041712 on Mac OS X 10.1.4) since it seemed to have been
"WORKSFORME" but now it crashes again.
This URL was "http://nataliesolent.blogspot.com" the source of which is just
simple CSS, not that complicated.
I will try some of the other "view Source" URLs to see if I get crashes again. I
had hoped this was fixed.

confirming because of dupes. note that i'm not confirming this is a mozilla

Any recent news on this one? I don't suppose anyone has tried removing/changing
the fonts as mentioned by Lorne Rosen in
<http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131666#c14>?

See bug 164905 for a somewhat similar stack.

Since I don't report into Internet Technologies anymore this bug needs a new
owner -> saari
Based on the lack of any recent activity and the suspicion it was a corrupted
font (which OS X seems to not handle well at all) this can prolly be marked as
