User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_3) AppleWebKit/601.4.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/9.0.3 Safari/601.4.4

Steps to reproduce:

1) Updated to today's latest release (38.6.0) under Mac OS X 10.11.3.
2) Click on Column select and Folder pane pull down menus


Actual results:

Observe selection check marks missing.


Expected results:

Selected folder panes and columns should show a check mark in the pull down menu.

1) Copied same profile over to a clean Mac OS X 10.10.5 install. Ran Thunderbird 38.6.0 and observed the check marks appear correctly. 

OS version appears to be directly related to this. I retested with a fresh profile and received the same results. Only difference is if I am running Thunderbird under 10.10 or 10.11

To improve the clarity of my description the "Folder pane pull down menu" is more specifically "Folder pane columns pull down menu" (to avoid confusion with the folder pane itself).

Yes, I tried to safe mode and it did not resolve the issue.

beckettbt, definitely was a legit bug but looks like it has been fixed. 
Please reopen if you can reproduce with version 45 or newer
