Product: Core → Cloud Services
My guess is that this is strictly an fxa-content-server issue, so I'm going to flag vladikoff and stomlinson to triage it.
Sentry shows quite a few instances of this message: https://sentry.prod.mozaws.net/operations/fxa-content-product/?query=insecure The most common looks like it's on attempts to check availability of localStorage: https://sentry.prod.mozaws.net/operations/fxa-content-product/group/223551/ But that doesn't mesh with the STR here.
I was able to repro on my galaxy s5 by: * disconnecting from my current account * going to the sync page to connect a new account * creating a new account * pressing "back" on the choose-what-to-sync screen, which didn't seem to do anything * pressing "sign up" on the choose-what-to-sync screen
In my testing, this seems specific to hitting the "back" button on the CWTS page. By attaching developer tools to the page, I can see that: * Clicking "Back" causes a message "SecurityError: The operation is insecure." to be logged in the debug console * Subsequently clicking "Sign Up" causes the error bar to display in the page, and an error traceback to be written to the debug console.
Filed https://github.com/mozilla/fxa-content-server/issues/3579 to dig in further on server side.
Ioana, please note that Mozilla's mobile browser does not and has never owned a gmail account.
Created attachment 8765433 [details] Unresponsive Back and Save Settings buttons.png I was able to reproduce this on Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Nexus 6 and HTC Desire 820: And now the Back and Save Settings buttons are unresponsive after you click the Back button. Also the Save Settings button is grayed out like in the attachment.
