In FireFox browser 44.0.2, while running streaming CNN on speakers if you insert headphone the sound is not transferred to headphones and vice verca.

Steps to reproduce:
In FireFox browser 44.0.2 the new feature of sound icon in tab is producing undesired effect. While running streaming CNN on speakers if you insert headphone the sound is not transferred to headphones and vice verca.

This doesn't really have much to do with the 'mute tab' icon.
Can you explain where/how you run "streaming CNN" ? That is, can you provide a link to a page that you use to reproduce this issue?
Also, on what kind of machine are you seeing this, are the speakers builtin to the machine (like a laptop) or into the screen (HDMI connected to a desktop PC) or external with their own 3.5mm audio jack, or something else still?
