Live streams that use the HLS.JS video template won't play at all using the Chrome browser. In the developer tools network monitor the playlist.m3u8 and chunklist.m3u8 files appear to load normally but I see no evidence that it even makes and attempt to fetch the media segments (.ts files).

Chris Peterson commented in bug #1254612"

Today's project meeting stream [1] still doesn't work in Chrome or Safari. I added some notes to the GitHub issue for HLS.js [2].

Now using the Clappr wrapper around HLS.js. Chrome works on the latest Clappr code.

Safari is still a problem. (ironic because Safari can handle .m3u8's directly).
Summary: HLS.JS player fails on Chrome → CAPPR/HLS.JS player fails on Safari
