Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0 Build ID: 20160303134406 Steps to reproduce: 1) Set privacy to Use custom settings for history 2) Tick "Always use private browsing mode" 3) Accept third-party cookies: never Attempt to log in to www.bet365.com Actual results: You don't log in. You are told that your login credentials are invalid. Fiddler traces show that a root domain cookie, pstk is set by members.bet365.com but is not then sent to the request to www.bet365.com Expected results: You should have been logged in. The cookie should have been sent.
Just discovered that it doesn't matter if Always use private browsing mode is selected or not. So long as allow third-party cookies : never is set, the root domain cookie is not sent in requests.
