It would be nice if users could be more general in specifying sites when setting policies. For example, instead of having a line like user_pref("capability.policy.nojs.sites", "http://ps2.ign.com http://dvd.ign.com http://scripts.snowball.com http://www.geocities.com http://us.geocities.com"); a user could have user_pref(..., "http://*.ign.com http://*.snowball.com http://*.geocities.com"); or even user_pref(..., "*.ign.com *.snowball.com"); Going one step further, maybe the user could specify a regex pattern, like user_pref(..., "https\?://\[A-Za-z].geocities.com"); or something similar. For the record, IE allows you to use, say, "*.ign.com" in its security lists of sites.
This would be a nice feature; I've heard a few requests for it. Unfortunately, I won't have time to do it anytime soon. Also, implementing this would probably hurt performance significantly, and we're trying to keep those performance numbers up.
