Something we've talked about before.

I know we have the "Add to Fennec" options in here but I'd like us to move away from UI/UX that makes us feel less native and more dated. Especially in areas that tie in heavily with the content model things we're working on.
This issue is 2 years old. Was there any progress? There is an UI revamp ahead of us but Fx still uses custom, non default share menu (which also ignores any customisations made to the share items via CustomShare Xposed module… which is the biggest annoyance of all)
Alternatively, Firefox could allow customising the list and remove 95% of the garbage from the share menu in android or better yet - only select desired share targets.
Thanks for the ping ktos.obcy, I do not believe this is currently high on the priority backlog for engineering though.

I will CC Joe (Product) and Carol (UX) here to get their eyes on it too
