What will this do?
When the user changes the properties of the LDAP server modify() gets called. This will update the properties of the existing ldap directory.
Discussed at 3/4 Mail & News bug mtg with Mktng, Eng., and PjM. Decison was to plus bug as a P2.
What are some scenarios where a user would want to modify the properties of the LDAP? How would they do this in the application?
needinfo: can you clarify when this problem happens? Just that session?
Double clicking on an LDAP directory in the addressbook brings up LDAP Server Properties dialog. Changes to the description will not show up in the addressbook until restart. Also LDAP directory properties can be changed from preferences->Addressing pane->EditDirectories. The changes to the description will not show up in the addressbook unless you restart the app.
posted a patch for this bug in bug 124059.
Discussed in Mail News bug meeting. Decided to minus this bug.
