We've had reports that turning off 3rd party cookies breaks HLS streams. Is this true? If so, why and whose cookie is it? Akamai's? Can we eliminate this requirement?

justdave reports that a cookie from jwpltx.com is required. This would be placed there by the jw player load site.

Documented the issue in https://air.mozilla.org/troubleshooting. The entire token auth process also sets cookies for the domain mozillalive-i.akamaihd.net or mozillalives-i.akamaihd.net; (depending upon whether it's http or https). These cookies contain the auth tokens and are thus required for restricted content.
