User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:46.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/46.0
Build ID: 20160322093058

Steps to reproduce:

Updated to beta 46. My OS is Kubuntu 15.10.

Actual results:

The Pocket button is broken. I can't see the icon (actually, it only looks like a space between other toolbar buttons) and when I click it, it only shows a tiny empty "text bubble". If I move it to the customize drawer, it still has no icon, just text.

1) Safe mode fixed it, and after restarting with add-ons enabled, it seemed to work normally. But the issue came back after restarting firefox again.

2) It worked with a fresh profile as well.

It could it be an issue with your add-ons. Could you copy your add-ons list from about:support, please.
Adblock Plus	2.7.2	true	{d10d0bf8-f5b5-c8b4-a8b2-2b9879e08c5d}
Element Hiding Helper for Adblock Plus	1.3.7	true	elemhidehelper@adblockplus.org
Firefox Hello Beta	1.1.9	true	loop@mozilla.org
Multi-process staged rollout	1.0	true	e10srollout@mozilla.org
Pocket	1.0	true	firefox@getpocket.com
Ubuntu Modifications	3.2	true	ubufox@ubuntu.com

I tried messing around with them, and every time I disabled or enabled any add-on, the Pocket button worked after restarting Firefox once. Another restart and the problem returned.

But now I disabled all add-ons at once, restarted Firefox and enabled them again, and that seemed to do the trick. Strange.
Can I still track this bug down somehow?

Yes, maybe there is a regression in Beta 46. Can you download and use the tool mozregression to find a regression range, please.
See http://mozilla.github.io/mozregression/ for the FAQ.
If 45 works fine, type "mozregression --good=45" (or 44), then copy here the final pushlog provided in the console output.
