User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0 Build ID: 20160315153207 Steps to reproduce: 1. Open context menu on image. Close it using Esc. 2. Highlight some text. 3. Open context menu on text. Actual results: Instead of opening text context menu Firefox opens image context menu. Expected results: Text context menu should open.

I can't reproduce it with FF45 on Win 7. Are you using the official Linux build from Mozilla? Could you test with a fresh profile? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
Flags: needinfo?(davidoski)
On new profile this effect does not occur. It's an official Mozilla build. The installation updated many times as new releases were available.

Can you test safe mode with your current profile with the issue: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
In safe mode the problem does not occur.
Do you have some add-ons? If yes, can you test by disabling them one by one. It's probably the fault of an add-on about tab management like TabMixPlus.
I will test disabling. It will take a while as I have many addons.
I've found the culprit. It's Image Zoom addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/pl/firefox/addon/image-zoom/?src=userprofile After disabling the problem disappear. Thank you for your help. Now I need to choose if the addon functionality is more important than the problem it causes or the other way. It's pretty usefull except that context behavior problem.
Image Zoom add-on hasn't been updated since May 2013, it became probably incompatible with new versions of Firefox.
Do you know any other add-on that allow to zoom and rotate images?

Anyway, I tested with FF48, I can't reproduce it on Win 7. Context menus are different.
Could you create a new profile and install only Image Zoom to test.
Same with 45 on Win7. Maybe the add-on is bugged only with Linux.
I just checked and it works fine now. It looks like the add-on needed switch off and on. Strange but works fine now. Thank you for your help. I wouldn't find the solution without your help.
