We are seeing alerts about a low apdex on snippets-stage instances from new relic due to the index page loading slowly. Based on troubleshooting we did this morning, we isolated the problem to the data in the DB itself: the staging instances have performance identical to prod when using a copy of prod data. We should either identify the specific data in the stage DB causing the problem, or if it is simpler we can wipe out the stage data and replace it with a snapshot from prod.

We have changed a ton of things since this was originally reported. We don't get these errors anymore and I'll mark this wfm.
